MurAL Fest Tirana 2018, il resoconto del festival di street art

La capitale dell’Albania sotto l’attacco di colori e forme

A Tirana dal 26 Maggio al 3 Giugno si è da poco concluso, il II MurAL Fest, festival delle arti urbane, che ha visto la collaborazione tra l’associazione leccese 167 b street e la capitale albanese.167 b street ha accolto l’invito da parte di Dekori, referente albanese preposto all’organizzazione e alla cura del decoro urbano a Tirana.

Lo sviluppo delle giornate di MurAL e l’organizzazione logistica, sono state curate in ogni minimo dettaglio, dal direttore di Dekori Henri Ciule affiancato dai suoi stretti collaboratori Petrit Shabani e Albana Kozeli.

La direzione artistica è stata curata da Ania Kitlas e Chekos’art , artisti e fondatori di 167 B street , insieme a Franko Dine, artista albanese.

Grazie a questa iniziativa, 13 artisti,tanti di loro di fama mondiale, sono intervenuti in una session di lavori durati una settimana e che hanno restituito alla città, nel quartieri di Blloku, una nuova immagine, vivacizzata dai colori, dalla monumentalità delle opere, dall’originalità conferita dai differenti linguaggi di ciascun artista.

Gli artisti che hanno preso parte alla manifestazione e al festival : Artez (SR), Awer (IT), Bifido (IT), Carlitops (IT), Davide DPA(IT), Chekos’art (IT), Theic Licuado (UR), Frank Lucignolo (IT), Ende (AL), Eldi Veizaj (AL), Elian Tanini (AL), Franko Dine (AL), Lazoo (FR).

Nuove collaborazioni che hanno, naturalmente portato alla costruzione di arte ma anche di nuovi rapporti umani e di amicizia, attraverso un nuovo sguardo restituito dall’esperienza artistica collettiva e condivisa. Un interscambio culturale in grado di valicare i confini e di modellare una capitale come Tirana, in un bacino accogliente di fusione. Un contributo unico e ma variegato, destinato a spingere Tirana a divenire sempre più una capitale di cultura ed arte, ponte balcanico di racconti visivi nuovi, e instancabili collaborazioni. La vita quotidiana, la strada e le storie si sono intrecciate, esplodendo sui muri, e reinventandosi in un mix di linguaggi volti a creare identità e ridisegnare lo spazio urbano, per scrivere una nuova storia.

The festival of urban arts, called MurAL Fest, that took place in Tirana from 26th of May to 3rd of June is recently closed. It was a collaboration between Lecce organisation 167/B street and the Albanian capital.

167 b street has responded to the call for artists from Dekor – Tirana, the Albanian referent responsible for the Albanian enterprise under the care of urban decor inTirana.

The everyday development and the logistics of MurAL were under the care in details of the director of Dekor Henri Ciule along with his close collaborators Petrit Shabani (Techincal Director of Festival) and Albana Kozeli (PR and Coordinator).

The artistical direction was under the care of Ania Kitlas and Chekos’art , artists and co-founders of 167 B street , along with Franko Dine, Albanian artist.

Thanks to this initiative, 13 artists, with some of international fame amongst them, have worked in one session week all over the city. They have transformed the face of some parts of Tirana into a new image full of life through the colours, the monumental artworks, and the originality conferred by different languages of expression of each artist.

The artists who participated in Festival were : Artez (SR), Awer (IT), Bifido (IT), Carlitops (IT), Davide DPA(IT), Chekos’art (IT), Theic Licuado (UR), Frank Lucignolo (IT), Ende (AL), Eldi Veizaj (AL), Elian Tanini (AL), Franko Dine (AL), Lazoo (FR).

As a result of this collaboration there are realised some artworks like an open air gallery in the city, as well as some new human and artistical raports between two countries are born. It comes with a new way of perceiving the art gained by the collective and divided artistical experience.

This cultural exchange has crossed the borders and has created in the capital of Tirana a warm hosting point of art.

This is a unique contribute, which is going to give the city an incentive transforming Tirana in a capital of art and culture, a bridge of new visual stories in the Balcans, as well as un uninterrupted collaborations. The everyday life, the street and its stories are intertwined, boosting on the walls and reinvented in a mix of languages in a way of creating idendity and redesigning the urban space, aiming to build a new history.
